Newlands Junior School

We are Proud

Community

At Newlands we aim to develop responsible, caring, proactive citizens who take pride in their local community and beyond. Our pupils learn about how they can make a difference through working with a variety of people e.g. families, the elderly, the young and those in need. Links are made with the local church and a variety of other places of worship, local care homes, our feeder schools, places of interest, local charities and volunteering organisations. We recognise our heritage learning about Clipstone Colliery and the local area and also take pride in our local environment by litter picking, recycling and supporting rangers at Vicar Water.
