NASA Day

NASA Day: to introduce our learning for this half term in History, Science and Writing, children took part in a whole day about NASA. This included:

• watching a video clip of the first Moon landing
• being inaugurated as a trainee astronaut, complete with a ceremony and lanyard presentation (which children will be able to bring home once the topic has finished)
• tasting some 'astronaut' food
• watching the film Hidden Figures as this will be a stimulus for their writing and support the learning about the USA and the Black Civil Rights Movement.
