Red Nose Day

On Friday 21st March 2025 we raised £160.40 for Red Nose Day!

Year 6 Victorian Tea

The Year 6 children invited parents and carers into school on Friday 24th January to share information about the Victorians. They had tea, coffee, sandwiches and cakes. They raised £102 for their nominated Oxfam charity.

 

                                                       

Christmas Carol Concert - January 9th 2025

I am writing on behalf of the patients, visitors and staff at King's Mill hospital to thank you for supporting our 2025 Christmas Carol Concert Programme.

A fantastic £1462.40 was raised in total by the local schools and colleges who attended between 2nd and 23rd December 2024 inclusive. This has been an excellent boost for the Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charity.

 Paul from Sherwood Forest Foodbank came into school on Thursday 19th December 2024 to present us with a certificate. ''A massive Thank You from Sherwood Food Bank.''

Christmas Fair - 28th November 2024

What a great turn out. Thank you to everyone for their support. We raised a grand total of £1,870!

Children in Need- 15th November 2024

We raised £343 for the Children in Need Charity.

Healthy Schools Award 

We received the Healthy Schools Award for the work we have completed to improve the health and wellbeing of our pupils.

The School Health Check consists of four core themes:

Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHE)

Healthy Eating

Physical Activity and

Social Well Being  

 

Boys and Girls Football

Well done to both boys and girls football teams for winning their leagues! They were so proud and Mr Freeman was proud to be part of it. 

SATs Results

July 2024

 

We had another great year with our SATs results. 

Reading 86% (national 74%)

Writing 85% (national 72%)

Grammar 82% (national 72%)

Maths 87% (national 73%)

Combined 80% (national 61%)

 

Progress was also excellent with reading above average and writing and maths well above

average compared to other schools within the country.
