Year 5 Local Church Visit
On Thursday 5th June, we visited our local church as part of our religious education work, where we learned about Christian marriage, a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, established by God reflecting the relationship between Christ and the church.

Year 5 Perlethorpe School Trip
Year 5 had a wonderful time visiting Perlethorpe Environmental Education Centre. They took part in orienteering where they matched river features with the correct definition. Following a walk into the forest, the children created sculptures out of things in the natural environment, inspired by the artist Andy Goldsworthy.
In the River Maun, the children carried out three different river studies:
- Using nets and trays to collect invertebrates. The results informed the children how clean the river was.
- Measuring the depth of the river at different intervals using tape measure and meter sticks.
- Measuring water flow rate using a rubber duck, a tape measure and a stopwatch.
- Field sketches of the river.
