We are Proud

Y6 Residential 2022

Sunday 11th September

Day one at Hagg Farm.

Once we arrived, we had the challenge of making our beds (which some of us found extremely challenging), passing a fire alarm test and getting kitted out with all our waterproofs, boots and rucksacks.

After lunch, we gathered in our groups and began our activities. Some of us stayed at the centre to take part in climbing on the climbing tower/zip wire, orienteering or tackling problem solving situations in teams, whilst others ventured off site to participate in a caving adventure and abseiling.

After a fun-packed afternoon, we were all ready for our first meal: pizza, jacket potatoes and salad followed by caramel sponge and ice cream.

Monday 12th September

Day two at Hagg Farm.

Another fun-filled day of activities, despite the weather! After a delicious breakfast, all groups got kitted up to face the elements and the activities that day 2 had in store for them. Some travelled off-site by minibus to challenge themselves by either caving or abseiling, whereas others stayed on-site exploring the extensive grounds of Hagg Farm.

After another delicious meal of spaghetti bolognaise, followed by raspberry cheesecake, we relaxed in our dorms and concluded the evening by enjoying a film together.

Tuesday 13th September

Day three at Hagg Farm.

On our final day at Hagg Farm, we said goodbye to the rain and welcomed the glorious sunshine! We all had another busy day, completing the remaining activities we had yet to experience.

Our final evening meal was chicken curry, rice and naan bread, followed by chocolate fudge cake with ice-cream or squirty cream.

Fire pit fun.

After our evening meal, we packed our cases and then headed down to the fire pit where we toasted marshmallows and made smores!
