Every year, at the end of May, we have a race for life event.
The children each get a passport, made for the children as a keepsake by the PTA.
The children run around the school field choosing to either complete 1 or 2 miles.
Parents and other family members attend and can join in too. After completing, everyone receives a medal and soon after the event children bring in their sponsorship forms.
In school, a PSHE lesson will be dedicated to learning about Cancer Research and why we support the cause. Children are given time to create their poster of who they are running for, in remembrance of and attach it to themselves.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
